I found a help article that said that we should be able to change the white background, but I’m on the latest version and I don’t see the option where it should be. Can you help me out?

With version 4.13.3, due to popular demand, we have introduced a new Artboard Fill feature which functions as a background color for your work. If you choose to switch off ‘Include Background’ while exporting to PNG or SVG then the background will be transparent but it is not possible to enable transparency on an active Artboard. Here’s a quick demo of how it works:
