In previous versions, I used to be able to easily export files to .svg but now it only creates .vectornator files. Now, no file can be exported to SVG format, only .vectornator, and I have tried several. I am running version 4.9 on my iPad Pro (4th generation), fully up to date.

So sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you but the good news is that this is a known issue that the team are currently resolving and hopefully I should have an update for you soon!
In the meantime, it is indeed still possible to save your file to SVG format, although it requires a few extra steps:
