how do I make a path that knocks out another path

I went through the tutorials, but can’t for the life of me
housetest.vectornator.zip (46.7 KB)
seem to make this work.

I’ve got a drawing of a house with horizontal lines for the siding. I want the lines to break where the windows are. I could do this by changing the background color of the window, but want it to be a line drawing (ie. no fill in any of the lines).

Hi @stephaniecrocker and welcome to Vectornator Forum, about you question you have two choice:

  1. to use the scissors tool so you must split the lines
  2. to use the Boolean operation but you must convert the line in outline
