It seems like the Scissors Tool may be of use to you in this case. Here’s a quick demo showing how you could achieve this result using the Scissors - of course, some minor adjustments would have to be made to ensure that all components align properly before grouping, but it should give the desired effect:
Also, bear in mind that you can of course add more nodes to the circle, meaning you can use the Scissors as accurately as you’d like!
