Open new files in tabs, not windows

Hello. I dont necessarily understand why the default behavior of opening a new file is to open a new window, especially when another window is already open.

This is on a Mac, while the window is not in full screen mode

Thank you very much for reaching us out and reporting this problem.
I was able to reproduce this issue on my side. Have already created a ticket and forwarded all the information to our Quality Assurance team.

I received a reply from the Development Team.
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it at the moment. We hope that Apple will provide us with an API for it in the next OS releases so that we can change this behavior.
