I love how easy it is to use the brush tool, but when I export to ai, thousands of node points are created. I can simplify in ai, but it seems so unnecessary when a totally manageable number of nodes are created in Vectornator. What am I doing wrong?

My client will be laser etching the final design using ai, so it has to load correctly in ai, even though I am drawing it in Vectornator.
Vectornator on iPad Pro. ai on Mac Book Pro. Latest OS and iOS and app version.
